Moulton boys basketball: Chaloupka, Beyer, Greyson Anderle win special awards in all-district selections

Junior Landon Chaloupka was named the Most Valuable Player of District 30-1A while senior Seth Beyer won Co-Defensive Player of the Year and freshman Greyson Anderle won Newcomer of the Year.Senior Jaxon Bartos and junior Hunter Anderle were named to the the First Team All-District.

Moulton girls basketball: Simper, Swinford win superlative awards

The Moulton Kittens 30-1A All-District selections were led by a pair of special-award winners.Junior Addison Simper was named Most Valuable Player and fellow junior Audrey Swinford was chosen as Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

Brahmas defeat alumni

The Hallettsville Brahmas trailed the Alumni 4-0 after two and a half innings before coming back with a seven-run third to win 26-7.After the Alumni scored two runs in the top of the fourth, the Brahmas put across 9 runs in the bottom of the frame.

Indians lose in extra innings

The Sacred Heart Indians dropped their season opener to Smithville in extra innings, 3-1 here Monday.The Tigers pushed across two runs in the top of the 10th on three walks and an RBI single by Thomas Davis.There was a lot of traffic on the bases.

Lady Brahmas win home opener

Grace Halata pitched around 7 walks and hit a two-run homer that decided the issue in the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ 4-3 victory over Ganado in their home opener here Monday afternoon.Hallettsville trailed 3-2 entering the bottom of the sixth inning.

SEGUIN – The Jourdanton Squaws showed no love for the Hallettsville Lady Brahmas on Valentines’s Day with a 60-50 area round victory in a 3A, Division II area game Friday night.The first and third quarters were the killers for Hallettsville.

Indians defeat Reicher in Bi-District

WACO – The cream rose to the top as the Sacred Heart Indians headed the ship in the right direction with a 65-54 TAPPS Division IV bi-district victory over Bishop Waco Reicher Friday.The win snapped the Indians’ four-game losing at the right time.
