At Monday’s Commissioner’ Court meeting, the court designated Saturday, April 22 as the Annual Lavaca River Clean-up Day. The Hallett Oak Foundation’s Friends of Lavaca River will host a river clean-up day on Saturday, April 22.

The Sacred Heart Catholic School 5th graders recently participated in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon program and raised $2,358.25. The amount raised goes toward helping kids who battle cancer and other deadly diseases. During the past years, the 5th grade classes have been involved in the program and have raised a total of over $14 thousand. The 2023 Lavaca Roundup (Show - Shine - Social)  is coming up on Sunday, March 26 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Lavaca County Courthouse Square.   It is open to all — Cars Trucks, Bikes, Boats, Tractors.  All donations will benefit the Lavaca County Relay for Life.
