The Sacred Heart Catholic School 5th graders recently participated in the St. Jude Math-A-Thon program and raised $2,358.25. The amount raised  goes toward helping kids who battle cancer and other deadly diseases. During the past years, the 5th grade classes have been involved in the program and have raised a total of over $14 thousand. 2023 Lavaca Roundup set for Sunday, March 26

The 2023 Lavaca Roundup (Show - Shine - Social)  is coming up on Sunday, March 26 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Lavaca County Courthouse Square.   It is open to all — Cars Trucks, Bikes, Boats, Tractors.  All donations will benefit the Lavaca County Relay for Life.

Having taught her entire career at Sacred Heart Catholic School, science teacher Geralyn Klimitchek was recently honored as High School Teacher of the Year by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops.

Tri County Softball umpires will meet on Dec. 14

Local artist Bob Barrera introduced a splash of color to downtown Hallettsville with a mural dedicated to the Houston Astros and their latest World Series Championship on the wall of his soon-to-be studio last week.
