Funeral services for the 41-year-old Hallettsville man who drowned Saturday evening at Lake Texana near Edna have been scheduled for later this week in Yoakum and Sweet Home.
Donnie Hart Jr., 41, died tragically late Saturday while out at the lake with his family.

Ambulance struck by motorist on its way to a call Sunday evening

Hallettsville police cited a motorist Sunday evening in the 800-block of West Fairwinds Street (U.S. Highway 90A) after the driver failed to control his speed and struck the side of a Lavaca County EMS ambulance while that vehicle was responding to an emergency call just west of Hallettsville.
