After hearing from Lavaca County EMS assistant chief/Lavaca County Fire Chiefs Association liaison Tim Decker at its Tuesday morning, April 14, meeting, the commissioners’ court voted to lift the burn ban in the county.

Court ratifies burn ban order

The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court met in a brief special-called meeting Monday morning and ratified the burn ban order installed by County Judge Keith Mudd on March 30.
At the Monday, March 23 Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting, the court approved a proclamation designating Sunday, April 12 as Hallettsville Methodist Church Day. Attending the meeting were church members front from left, who include Jennifer (Jen) Henderson, Denise Roberts, Rev. Patrick Melton, Nancy Fuhrken, Landra Immenhauser, and Fred Meek.
