Mrs. Williams’ 4th grade class at St. Ludmila Elementary has been learning all about Texas this year. Mr. Liska of El Campo, kindly made cutouts of the Lone Star State and gave them to the students. As part of a recent unit on Texas History, the students painted their wooden cutout.

Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner is proud to announce that they have added another graduated brewer to their crew. Eileen Hayek, the brewery’s quality assurance manager, was named as that individual last week during a company-wide meeting.

The Shiner Knights of Columbus have scheduled a dedication for two newly erected historical markers in front of their hall at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 23.
