Ezzell’s first VFD responds to first call

A newly formed Volunteer Fire Department in the Ezzell area responded to its first call within two days of going into service.
The Ezzell Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a grass fire on FM 531 and had its first firefighter on scene within six minutes of notification, according to a Facebook post from Lavaca County EMS.
