Newspaper subscription rates to increase Aug. 1

Beginning on Aug. 1, the subscription rate for the Hallettsville Tribune-Herald, Shiner Gazette, Moulton Eagle, Yoakum Herald-Times and the Luling Newsboy will be increasing in cost.

Due to the rising cost of postage for mailing periodicals going up 7% starting this week as well as newspaper printing cost having also gone up in price, the Hallettsville Publishing Company, Inc. is raising the rates for a yearly subscription to $4 across the board.

A single issue will also rise from the current price of $1 to $1.50.

Those who subscribe yearly can also receive the online edition at no extra charge, but would have to contact the office to be able to receive the paper online.

The last increase in subscription rates took place in September 2022.

Hallettsville Tribune-Herald

• Out of state – $66

Moulton Eagle
