The Stribrnanka Brass Band from the south Moravia region in the Czech Republic will be at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hallettsville Wednesday, May 24.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with an admission charge of $5 per person. The band will perform from 7 to 9 p.m.
In addition, to approximately four-plus inches of rain the area received on Tuesday, May 9, an additional another approximate four inches fell Saturday, May 13 causing extensive flooding in low water crossings on county roads.
This pecan tree, located near the driveway at the Chris and Edita Rybak’s residence on Bowie St., was uprooted due to four-plus inches of rain that fell Tuesday, May 9 in the Hallettsville area. The approximate 50-foot tree extended across Bowie St.
This will be the 17th version of this event, and it’s been my honor to attend seven of these affairs and you can take it from me, it’s awesome to watch wounded members of our military disembark from those buses.
