Meteor shower anticipated from world famous Halley’s comet

Today marks the peak of the Eta-Aqaurids meteor shower, an annual meteor shower caused by the world’s most famous comet, 1P Halley. That’s according to national news stories published earlier this week by Forbes senior contributor Jamie Carter, a science and astronomy specialist.

At Monday’s Commissioners’ Court meeting, Lavaca County legislature chairman Paul Yamarick presented the court with a Texas flag. Lavaca County EMS responded to a pipeline storing facility Tuesday, March 7, where a worker experienced a traumatic injury. Crewmembers were able to stabilize the patient and evacuate them to an appropriate facility via aircraft.
