Juvenile airflighted after scooter accident

A traffic accident involving a motorized scooter and a vehicle resulted in the juvenile driver of the scooter to be airflighted to a Houston hospital Thursday afternoon, Feb. 12.According to the Hallettsville Police Department the accident occurred around 4:25 p.m.

Yoakum ISD receives enrollment numbers, school updates

Enrollment numbers and the principal’s update were given at the Yoakum Independent School District board meeting Feb. 9.Current enrollment shows that there are 1,400 students. There are 447 students in High School, 278 in Junior High, 284 in Intermediate, 197 in Primary and 194 in Primary Annex.
