Frances Kay Petras Pavlicek

Frances Kay Petras Pavlicek was born on July 15, 1948 in Shiner, Texas. She was named after her Great Aunt Frank, but everyone knew her as Kay. She grew up in the Dilworth area, on family land passed down from the original Mexican land grant, with brother Tim and sister Debbie.

Billy Ray Drozd

Billy Ray Drozd passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, at the age of 78.  He was born in Lavaca County on July 4, 1946, to Jerome and Annilee Brunkenhoffer Drozd.  Billy married Barbara Jean Hudgeons on Dec. 15, 1962, in Hallettsville. Together they had one son, David.

Gary G. Barta

Gary G. Barta, 74, of Moulton passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2024. He was born May 23, 1950 in Shiner to Alfred and Josephine (Berckenhoff) Barta.Gary is a 1969 graduate of Moulton High School and a veteran having served in the National Guard.

Edwin Earl Winn, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the age of 95 years (and 10 months) old.He was born on January 19, 1929, in Trent, Tx. Edwin was the son of Ola Lee and Raymond Hosea Winn.

Irene Schaefer

Irene Marie Condel Schaefer, 76, of Seguin, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.  Irene was born on September 12, 1948 in Shiner, to Josephine (Schleinschok) and Henry Condel.  Irene continued to work in the family insurance business that she started with her husband Adolph in 1978.
