On July 7, 2024, Dorothy Mildred Mladenka Pustka Gast of Yoakum, passed from this world after a short illness at the age of 99. She died at home under the loving care of her granddaughter, Jackie Rodriguez and her daughter, Susan Williams, as well as all the other members of the Williams family.

Dennis “Dink” E. Jalufka, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. He was born on Sept. 14, 1944, in Lavaca County.He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Lesak and Brandi Thigpen (Chad); his sister, Nelda Pekar (Joseph); one granddaughter, four grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.

Jeanette A. Chumchal, of Gonzales, entered the gates of heaven on Monday, July 15, 2024, in Victoria. She was born on July 4, 1938, to Willie “Bill” and Gertrude Hoerig Boedeker on their family farm in Gonzales County.

Annabell “Ann” Seifert Garbade was born on September 9, 1945 outside Moulton, to the late Allen and Lillie Pavlas Seifert of Shiner. She graduated in 1963 from Shiner High School. She married her love of 50 years William “Bill” Garbade on May 29, 1965.
