Margaret Mary Hermis Majek passed away peacefully due to natural causes on April 2, 2024  in Corpus Christi. Born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Moravia,  to Ludwig Hermis and Mary Sassin Hermis, Margaret was a woman of remarkable strength, boundless energy, and unwavering faith.

Betty Lou ‘Nonnie’ Warren

Betty Lou "Nonnie" Warren was an exceptional woman who was loved by family and friends near and far. Betty Lou Warren was born Nov. 9, 1938 in Pflugerville, to parents, Jack and Lucinda Hornsby. She passed peacefully in her sleep on March 3, 2024, in Rockdale at the age of 85.

Mary Eleanor McCorkle, 87, of Shiner, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024.Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at Yoakum Restland Cemetery, with Chaplain Joseph Jones officiating.Pallbearers were her grandchildren.

Alyssa Jade Schoeneman, 22, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. She was born on July 20th, 2001. She is preceded in death by her Papa, Tommy Reiler, and her uncle, Vance Schoeneman.

Vaclav ‘Jim’ Alois Netardus of Shiner, entered into eternal rest on March 24, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born at home on Nov. 8, 1935, in Wied, to James and Mary (Nevlud) Netardus. He was raised on his family farm in Wied and attended Wied School.

Tasha Rebecca Balzer, 43, of Yoakum, completed her work on earth on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was born March 22, 1981 in Yoakum to Dan and Judy (Zissa) Balzer.Tasha was a “special” child born with Downs, to a family that loved her dearly.
