Jacob “Jake” Calvin Baker

Jacob “Jake” Calvin Baker, 26, passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022.  He was born July 12, 1996 in Houston to Clifton and Elizabeth (Anderson) Baker. “Jake” as most people knew him, was enjoying life to the fullest.

Dick Ned Farmer

Dick Ned Farmer, age 90, passed away on Aug. 1 in Yoakum. He was born March 11, 1932 in Edinburg to O.P. and Calva High Farmer. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Raymond Otto Granz

Raymond Otto Granz, 86, completed his work on earth July 30. He was born May 2, 1936 in Yoakum to the late Otto and Frieda (Schumacher) Granz. He was retired from Texas Highway Department after 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Brian D’Wayne Seals

Brian D’Wayne Seals passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the age of 51 after a heroic battle with cancer.   He was born Sept. 25, 1970 in Victoria to Greg and Sandra Lorfing Seals.

Myron Paul Rehm

   Myron Paul Rehm, 67, of Hallettsville, passed away unexpectedly at home on the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022.   He was born in Hallettsville on Dec. 5, 1954 to Clarence and Marge Rehm. He was the third born of their nine children.

Raymond Granz

Raymond Otto Granz, 86, of Shiner, completed his work on earth Saturday, July 30, 2022. A rosary, led by Deacon Joe Machacek, was recited at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, August 6 at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Funeral services followed with the Rev. Michael Odartey-Lamptey officiating.

Freddie Zbranek

Frederick James “Freddie” Zbranek, 77, of Shiner, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date. Services are under the care and direction of Shiner Funeral Home.   He was born on April 15, 1945, in Gonzales County, to Laddie Sr.

Bridget Marcak

Bridget Marcak, 75, of Shiner, passed away Monday, August 1, 2022. She was born October 5, 1946 in Sinton to Frank and Martha (Brezina) Vanecek. Bridget graduated from Sinton High School and went on to pursue her education at Southwest Texas University and then on to the University of Houston.

Janice Aldean Riske Teltschik

Janice Aldean Riske Teltschik, 85, of Witting, went to her heavenly home on Friday, July 29, 2022.   Janice was born on April 14, 1937, to Bennie and Thelma Stoeltje Riske in the tiny community of Witting in Lavaca County.
