The Shiner girls golf team will be making their second straight trip to the state meet after placing third at the regional meet April 17-18 at the Lozano Golf Course in Corpus Christi.
Chelsea Whiddon led Shiner with 86 and 95 for 181; Grace Migl carded a 98 and 100 for 198; Callie Chrismon had a 202 (97, 105); Brianna Sofka finished with 105 and 109 for 214, and Morgan Lenehan recorded a 112 and 111 for 223.
Shiner shot 386 on the first day and 409 on the second day for a team score of 795.
Mason won the tournament with 649 (320, 329) and Goldwaithe was second with 763 (388, 375).
The girls 2A state tournament will be May 6-7 at the Lions Municipal Golf Course in Austin.
