The Shiner Junior High volleyball teams took on Weimar ,Ganado  and Schulenburg, and played in the Schulenburg Tournament.
Weimar
7th grade Shiner hosted their season opener against Weimar on Aug 25.  The 7th grade B team split sets with Weimar: 15-25 and 25-23. Leading serving was Tatum Carson.  The 7th A team beat Weimar in three sets, winning in a narrow and exciting victory: 25-23, 13-25,16-14.  Leading servers were Harlee Sevcik, Paisly Wallace and Grace Nevlud.
Ganado
Shiner Junior High Volleyball took on the Ganado Maidens Aug. 29 in Ganado. The 7B team started the evening by splitting sets, 25-13 and 21-25. Leading server for the Braves was TCarson with 25 service points.  8B also split sets, 24-26 and 26-24. Leading servers were Abbie Shields and Sydney Heckman.  7A took the court and bested Ganado in two sets: 25-19 and 25-17. Leading scorers from the service line were Emersyn Boehm and Riley Fluitt. The 8A team also conquered Ganado handily, 25-14 and 25-14.  Best servers for the night were Klair Hailey, Lexi Boner and Reagan Fluitt.

Schulenburg
Shiner Braves faced Schulenberg at home on Sept. 8th.  7A dominated, winning in two sets 25-6 and 25- 5.  Leading servers were Grace Nevlud with 10 service points, Riley Fluitt with nine serves and Harlee Sevcik with eight.
8A started the match well but Schulenberg took over and won 25-20 and 25-19  Leading server for the Braves was Reagan Fluitt with 12 serves.
7B was also bested by the Lady Horns in an exciting match. Scores were 25-27 and 25-17.  Leading serves for Shiner were Justice Bedford with 6 serves and Kaylea Gonzalez with 3.
8B played a stellar match and came away with a victory in two sets, 25-22 and 25-23.  Leading servers was Bella Carlisle with 7 service points.
7A finishes third at Schulenburg Tournament
7A Lady Braves volleyball won two of out three matches to earn a third-place finish in the Schulenberg Junior High tournament Sept. 10  The Braves beat Brazos JH from Wallis (22 -25, 25-11 and 15-8), fell to an accomplished team from Bellville (25-6 and 25-17) and beat Columbus 25-23 and 25-22.  The team is comprised of Emersyn Boehm, Arian Brown, Cami Cowan, Kiera Curtis, Riley Fluitt Kalli Kupka, Marie Johnson, Harper Lenehan, Grace Nevlud, Addie Prove, Harlee Sevcik, and Paisly Wallace.
