Shiner softball: Lady Comanches sweep Marion in doubleheader

The Lady Comanches softball team swept 3A Marion in a non-district doubleheader April 16, 7-1 and 7-0, in Marion

Shiner outhit the Lady Bulldogs 9-1 in a 7-1 win in the opener. 
The Lady Comanches scored three runs in the first frame while Marion got one run.Shiner plated one run in the second and outscored Marion 3-0 in the fifth inning.
On the bats, Addy Siegel got a double and scored two runs; Rylee Vancura was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI; Brinley Ramirez got a hit and scored two runs.
Lauren Springfield pitched two innings with one run, four walks and four strikeouts and Dyllan Chrismon wrapped up with three innings, one hit, one walk and two strikeouts.
In the field, Siegel had three putouts and two assists. Vancura added three putouts.

Siegel pitched a one-hit shutout and struck out 12 batters with two walks to lead the Lady Comanches to a 7-0 win in the second game.
Ahead 1-0 after two innings, Shiner scored six in the third frame to seal the win.
Vancura was the top hitter, going 2-for-3 with one run and RBI; Siegel was 1-for-3, triple, run and RBI; Brinley Ramirez got one hit and scored twice.
Aimee Mitchon had the defense’s lone putout.
