The Lady Cardinals found themselves down 7-0 after three-and-half innings April 22 at home to Gonzales in playoff-practice game. St. Paul did not give up scoring three in the bottom of the fourth and then getting two more in the fifth frame to get within 7-5. The Lady Apaches then scored one run in the to solidify an 8-5 win.
Gonzales scored a single run in innings one through three before plating four runs in the top of the fourth.
The Lady Cardinals were led at the plate by Jessica Fikac who went 1-for-3, triple and two RBI, and Tatum Walker going 1-for-2, double and one run.
Tatum Walker started at pitcher and went five innings, seven runs on eight hits, six walks and seven strikeouts. Presley Tuch worked two innings with one run on two hits and two strikeouts.
Mariah Jackson had three putouts and one assist in the field.
