St. Paul cross country: SP runners looking forward to state meet

The St. Paul cross-country teams will compete in the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) state meet next Monday at Cottonwood Creek Golf Course in Waco.Both teams will compete in the afternoon at the meet.The girls are scheduled to run at 1:40 p.m.

HALLETTSVILLE — The St. Paul volleyball team inched closer to the district title with a 3-1 win at Sacred Heart.The Lady Cardinals completed the regular-season district series with a 2-0 record after defeating the Indianettes 25-14, 25-13, 22-25, 25-11 on Oct. 17.

Shiner and Falls City each had at least three trips inside the opponent’s 30 yard-line.It was the Comanches who did better capitalizing as they beat the Beavers 21-3 on Friday in their first varsity action since a 56-7 win over Luling Sept. 27.
