The Sacred Heart competed in its first meet of the season Thursday, March 7 in Falls City.Elena Grahmann was the only first place winner with an effort of 16 feet, 5 inches in the long jump. She was also third in the triple jump at 33 feet, 6.75 inches and ran on two relays that placed.

Brahmas drop to third place with losses to Industrial, Columbus

Back-to-back to back losses last dropped the Hallettsville Brahmas to third place in the District 25-AAA standings.The latest came here Thursday night when district pacesetter Columbus scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 5-2 verdict.

3 LB qualify for Regional

VICTORIA – Three Hallettsville Lady Brahma netters qualified for regional in the District 25-AAA Meet at Victoria West High School Monday.The doubles teams of April Leopold and Olivia Etzler beat Edna in the finals, 6-0, 6-1.

Indians fend off Cardinals in district opener

The Sacred Heart Indians had to hold off St. Paul in the late innings to secure a 10-8 victory over the Cardinals in the TAPPS District 5 Division IV opener for both teams at the StarPlex Wednesday, March 27.

Lady Brahma rampage continues

The Hallettsville Lady Brahmas’ tour of District 25-AAA continued with two run-rule victories last week.The most recent was here Thursday night in a 13-3, fiveinning win over Columbus.Grace Halata (8-1) was the starting and winning pitcher and went 4.

St. Paul girls golf: Lady Cards golf take first place at Yoakum Tourney

The St. Paul Lady Cardinals golf team placed first at the Yoakum Golf Tournament March 27.The A team scored 410 points to win the tournament.Riley Mozisek carded a 97 for second medalist and Audrey Thibodeaux scored 99 for fourth medalist.

St. Paul baseball: Indians escape from Starplex with 10-8 win

It was a game of give and take for both sides in the St. Paul versus Sacred Heart game March 27 at Shiner Starplex.It was St. Paul who gave more than they took and Sacred Heart who took more than they gave in a 10-8 win for the Indians.

Shiner girls golf: Whiddon, LC golfers win district crown

The Shiner Lady Comanches golf team picked up the district title last week to advance to regionals as a team. Shiner had a tean score of 406, led by Chelsea Whiddon who had an 89 for second medalist.
