Brahmas defeat Shiner in tournament finale Saturday

The Hallettsville Brahmas defeated Shiner, 2-1, in the final game of the Jimmy Appelt Tournament Saturday evening.As were the runs, hits were at a premium with the Brahmas having four hits and the Comanches four.

The Comanches went 2-2 in the Hallettsville Jimmy Appelt Tournament.PLC 2, Shiner 1The Sandcrabs got a pair of one-out hits in the bottom of the fifth and took advantage on a Shiner error to score two runs, rallying from a 1-0 deficit to edge the Comanches 2-1 Thursday night.

The Shiner Comanches beat Louise and Flatonia in three-inning home district games last week and won at Nixon over the weekend.Shiner 15, Flatonia 0Shiner head softball coach Jason Keller wants his team to play relaxed and loose, and not put too much pressure on themselves.
