The Shiner cross-country program will have one runner at the state meet, senior Lady Comanche Hayleigh Burns.

Shiner came in No. 10 in the 2A Girls 3,200-meter run with 270 points.
Burns was the top finisher with eighth place in 13 minutes, 11.62 seconds and a pace of 6:36 a mile.

Serving, serve-receive, hitting and blocking was all done to head coach Desiree Nitsch’s satisfaction.

St. Paul football: Lions blank Cards 40-0

It was a rough night for St. Paul against Central Texas Christian Friday night in Temple as the Cards lost a couple of players to injury.
The Lions came up with a scoreboard shutout in a 40-0 win, leading 26-0 at halftime. Sam Perez led the St. Paul offense as he rushed eight times for 13 yards.

Indians in Another Rout

The Sacred Heart Indians’ 45-17 victory over New Braunfels Christian Academy went as planned without glitches in a TAPPS District 5 Division IV game here Friday night.
The Indians totaled 391 yards of offense and continued the trend of not turning the ball over.
