Indians 2-0 in dist. after rout of Reicher

The Indians moved to 2-0 in Division IV District 5 with a three inning 15-0 victory over Waco Bishop Reicher here Wednesday, March 25.The Indians are 11-7 overall.The Indians totaled eight hits and took advantage of seven walks, two hit batsmen and numerous errors.

Chenard’s no hitter paces Brahmas past Tigers 6-0

Hudson Chenard threw a no-hitter and struck out 13 in leading the Brahmas to a 6-0 District 25-AAA victory over Tidehaven Saturday afternoon.Chenard allowed three base on balls.Hallettsville (19-4, 6-1) scored two runs in the top of the first inning.

Shiner tennis: Shiner girls tennis wins district

The Shiner girls tennis team claimed the district title and the boys finished runner up following the district tournament on March 23.For the varsity, Jennifer Arellano (girls singles), and Tyler Hemphil and Kylynn Ramirez (mixed doubles) won the district championships to advance to regionals.

Shiner girls golf: Lady Comanches 3rd at SH

The Shiner girls golf team scored 457 as a team to place third at the Sacred Heart Tournament on March 25.Evy Johnson led the Lady Comanches with a 110.Jaleigh Ramirez and Whitley Lyons both carded a 111. Jessica Whiddon recorded a 125 and Raleigh Moore had a 129.

Shiner baseball: Pohler fans 15 in 8-1 Shiner win over ‘Dogs

Landyn Pohler allowed one run on one hit while fanning 15 batters while Jake Simper was 3-for-4 with two runs in Shiner’s 8-1 win at Flatonia on Friday.Shiner led 1-0 after one inning before scoring one run in the fourth to double its lead. Both teams brought in one run in the fifth inning.

St. Paul baseball: Cards go 3-1 in last week’s district games

St. Paul might have lost March 23’s home district game to Bracken but head coach Jeremy Rodriguez saw more than the final score.“There was something different that I saw in this game today. Competitiveness and another vibe of the team,” he said.
