The Lady Cardinals had another week in which they did not lose a set in wins over Bulverde Bracken Christian and Kerrville Our Lady of the Hills in district matches. St. Paul 3, BBC 0 Riley Mozisek put down 14 kills to help put St. Paul past the Lady Warriors 25-11, 25-8, 25-12 Oct. 3 at St.

Shiner football: Shiner continues momentum with 45-30 win over Three Rivers

The Shiner Comanches are continuing to pick up steam. Shiner (2-5) went to 2-1 after three district games following a little bit of a shootout, outscoring Three Rivers 45-30 Friday at Comanche Stadium.

Shiner cross-country: Lady Comanches win district title; Boehm qualifies for regional

The Shiner Lady Comanches claimed the 28-2A varsity girls cross-country team title on Monday at Green-Dixon Park. Hayleigh Burns won the individual title with a time of 12 minutes, 43.76 seconds. Bulldogs fall to No. 4 Hitchcock Bulldogs, 62-32 at Yoakum Bulldog Stadium

The Yoakum Bulldogs kicked off District 12-3A play hosting the Class 3A Division I No. 4 Hitchcock Bulldogs Friday night. The Bulldogs of Yoakum battled Hitchcock for most of the night and were able to keep the score fairly close until a late run by Hitchcock put the game out of reach.

YHS Cross Country Teams return to regionals

The Yoakum cross-country teams competed in the 25-3A district meet Monday at Yoakum City Park with both varsity teams qualifying for regionals to be held Oct. 23 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Indianettes Shut-Out Bracken

BULVERDE– In its only match of the week, the Indianettes shutout Bulverde Bracken Christian 25-17, 25-20,25-12 Thursday. The Indianettes are 20-8 overall and 10-0 in Tapps District 5 Division IV play. The Indianettes had 15 kills in the match and were led by Annika Brooks’ 10 successful swings.
