The Shiner Lady Comanches cross-country team will try to finish in the top two teams next week at regionals in Corpus Christi to punch their ticket to yet another trip to the state meet.
Shiner Comanche individual runner Boe Boehm will also be gunning for a trip to Round Rock.

Shiner volleyball: LC wrap up season series with Louise with a victory

The Shiner volleyball team chemistry is quickly coming together as they close in on the postseason.
The Lady Comanches swept the Lady Hornets 25-6, 25-13, 25-16 Oct. 10 at home to give Shiner the season sweep over Louise.
Shiner also improved a lot in the serving game.

Shiner football: Shiner beats ‘Cats 46-14 for third straight victory

Junior quarterback Carson Schuette threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns while running for 51 yards and one touchdown as the Comanches won their third-straight game and improved to 3-1 in district play with a 46-14 thrashing of the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats Friday in Skidmore.

Moulton hosted the 30-1A cross-country meet on Oct. 11 with the Kittens taking the top spot in the girls varsity race.

St. Paul football: Cards close out non district with loss to SA Holy Cross Knights

St. Paul ended its non-district schedule with a harrowing loss at San Antonio Holy Cross 53-19.
St. Paul was held to just 273 yards on the ground and another 73 through the air. The Knights got 208 rushing and 237 passing for 445 yards.
