Shiner baseball: Comanches waste little time in win over Refugio

VICTORIA — In a single-game series, you do not have  a lot of time to get something on the scoreboard. After a slow start, the Shiner Comanches scored four runs in the second and five in the third to defeat Refugio 10-0 May 10 at Riverside Stadium in Victoria.

Shiner track and field: Lady Comanches sets new school record in mile-relay at state meet

The Shiner girls and boys track teams concluded the season Friday at the UIL state track meet at Mike A. Meyers Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin. Girls The 400-meter relay team of Brinley Ramirez, Rylee Vancura, Lauren Faldyn and Jaleah Curtis earned fourth place with a time of 49.

Shiner softball: LC defense stands tall in second game to complete sweep of Ganado

CUERO — The Shiner Comanches needed some solid defense in the second half of the game. And they got it, along with solid pitching, to see off Ganado 4-1 in the second game of the best-of-three regional quarterfinal series.
