St. Paul football: Cardinals shut down Legacy Prep 49-6

Triple option is an offense the St. Paul Cardinals almost never see. It makes it hard for the St. Paul offense to replicate that kind of offense in practice for the defense.

St. Paul volleyball: Lady Cardinals catch Waldorf 3-0

With a 3-0 (25-7, 25-8, 25-15) win over Austin Waldorf at home Thursday, the Lady Cardinals volleyball team won both of their district matches last week. Of five district matches under their belt coming into this week, St. Paul has a 4-1 record.

Yoakum volleyball: Yoakum goes full match, beats Tidehaven in district

Jayana Phillips had a team high 21 kills and Destiny Rios had 19 kills as Yoakum outlasted Tidehaven 21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-27, 15-9 on the road Sept. 13 to get its second district win in two tries.

Yoakum football: Cuero bests 'Dogs 75-6

By Alvin Gomez/Special to the Herald-Times The Cuero Gobblers made the short drive to Yoakum this past Friday night to play the 114th edition of the "DeWitt County Showdown." They were victorious coming away with a 75-6 win to improve to 3-0 on the season.  Yoakum is now 0-3.
