FLATONIA —  The Shiner Lady Comanches had a big task in trying to defend Lady Bulldog Summer Sodek Jan. 2 in Flatonia.Sodek was  as advertised as she hit five triples and finished with 41 points in leading her team to a 67-35 win over the Lady Comanches.

YOAKUM — In an away game versus Yoakum on the next-to-last day of the year, the Kittens were often their own enemy.Addison Simper scored nine points with Lilliana Gomez and Audrey Swinford each netting six points as Moulton edged Yoakum 34-30 on Dec. 30.

The St. Paul girls basketball team went 3-1 in the Kenedy Tournament last week prior to the holiday break.Harvest Christian Academy 84, St. Paul 35Edinburgh Harvest Christian Academy did not miss too many three-point baskets as they hit 16 in a 84-35 win over the Lady Cardinals on Friday afternoon.
