The Hallettsville Brahmas will meet the Falfurrias Jerseys in a best-of three series at Joe Hunter Field in Beeville in the regional semifinals.The first game is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, The second game will start Friday at 7 p.m.If a third game is needed, it will be played Saturday at 3 p.m.

Brahmas keep rolling with sweep of Marion

The Hallettsville Brahmas easily swept Marion 16-1 and 12-0 to win the Class 3A area championship.The Brahmas will meet Falfurrias in the regional semifinals. The last meeting between the teams was in 1991. The Jerseys swept Bishop in a best-of-three series.

Indians garner first State Title since 2002

Shiner baseball: Comanches take care of business in area round with sweep of FC

The Comanches baseball team took the area-round series against Falls City in a sweep.They beat the Beavers 7-1 Thursday in Yoakum and whipped them 12-0 in six innings Saturday in Karnes City.“We played well this series. Did a good job in the opener.

Brahmas, Lady Brahmas honored

Hallettsville athletes were honored at the Sports Award Banquet held at the KC Hall Sunday evening.Alaina Halata was named Lady Brahma of the Year and Jorian Wilson and Aiden Drozd Brahmas of the Year.Austin Henrichs and Kenedy Wood were given the Fighting Heart Award.

Indianettes fifth at state meet

HEWITT – The Sacred Heart Indianettes finished fifth at the TAPPS Division IV Track and Field Championships at Midway High School Friday and Saturday.The Indianettes scored 60 points. Dallas First Baptist was first with 99.5 points, Bryan St. Joseph scored 80.5, St. Paul 76.5 and Waco Valor Prep 70.
