Indianettes clinch District championship

SHINER – Three pitchers combined for a twohitter and Avery Beach and Ella Demel both hit home runs in a 14-0 five-inning victory over St. Paul to clinch the TAPPS District 5 Division IV championship at the StarPlex Thursday evening.For Beach, it was her 7th home run and Demel has six.

Shiner track and field: Shiner thinclads win area championships

The Shiner girls and boys track teams each won the area mee Thursday in Flatonia and are sending several athletes to regionals later this week in Kingsville.GirlsThe Lady Comanches won the 27-28 area title with 112 points with runner-up Weimar getting 103 points.

The St. Paul track and field teams went one and two at the TAPPS 3-2A championships April 7 at San Antonio Antonian College Prep. Shiner softball: LCs defeat Weimar to split season series

Shiner softball team completed the season sweep of Schulenburg and made amends for an earlier loss to Weimar with an 10-5 win in Weimar on Friday.

St. Paul baseball: St. Paul nine sweep San Marcos Hill Country

The St. Paul Cardinals swept a district home doubleheader against San Marcos Hill Country Christian 6-2 and 15-0 on April 8.St. Paul got six hits in the first game and around eight hits in the second contest.“We struggled hitting in the first game.

Moulton softball: Kittens beat Bloomington, lose to Ganado

Outside of two innings in which the other team scored a total of eight runs, the Kittens had a good showing against Ganado.The Maidens scored three runs to open the game and then later had a five-run burst in the seventh to beat Moulton 12-5 Friday evening in Moulton.
