Indians down St. Paul in District opener

SHINER – Laynee Sevcik struck out 13 as the Sacred Heart Indians defeated St. Paul 4-1 in the TAPPS District 5 Division IV opener for both teams Tuesday, March 11 at the Star Plex.Sevcik went 6 . 2 innings and gave up one run, three hits and walked five.

St. Paul baseball: Indians pull away from St. Paul with late runs

After giving up two runs in the opening inning to Sacred Heart, St. Paul limited the Indians.From innings two through six, St. Paul did not allow a run across  while scoring a run in the fourth inning.But the Indians managed to squeeze in two runs in the seventh to edge St.

Shiner girls golf: Chrismon places third at Victoria CC tournament

The Shiner girls golf team had two teams of golfers at the Victoria Country Club tournament on March 10.The Lady Comanches A team had a team total of 421 and were led by Callie Chrismon who carded a 94 for third medalist.

Shiner track and field: Shiner girls score 94 to place third at Brahma Relays

Shiner track teams competed in the Brahmas Relays on Thursday with the varsity girls getting top three.Varsity GirlsShiner scored 94 points for third place.JaLeah Curtis got third in Top Athletes with 23 points and JaMya Wright tied for fifth with 21 points.

Shiner softball: Lady Comanches hammer Louise, Lady Shorthorns

Not every team is going to pitch the same.It took the Lady Comanches the first inning to get used to Louise’s pitching style.
