St. Paul baseball: Cardinals rout Bishop Reicher 17-1

The Cardinals scored 12 runs in the first inning and sank Waco Bishop Reicher 17-1 in three innings March 18 at the Shiner Starplex for St. Paul’s first district win of the season.The Cardinals plated five runs in the second inning. Reicher scored its lone run at its first time at bat.

Moulton softball: Kittens edge Ganado JV team 11-10, beat Louise

The Moulton softball team edged Ganado Junior Varsity 11-10 on March 18 and won against Louise.Moulton 11, Ganado JV 10The Kittens scored two runs in the first inning, three in the third inning, plated four runs in the fourth square and recorded two runs at their final time at bat.

Flores recognized during National Athletic Training month

Hallettsville High School athletic trainer, Shannon Flores, was recognized Monday evening, March 10 at the HISD Board of Trustee meeting. Her recognition was in part of March being National Athletic Training month.
The Indianettes defeated Van Vleck 17-6. Rylan D. delivered a clutch 2-run hit, while Karley K. added a big 3-run hit to secure the win.

The Sacred Heart Indianettes split a pair of games this past week pounding out a 17-6 win over Van Vleck , but falling to Victoria St. Joseph, 8-2.Sacred Heart 17 Van Vleck 6The Indianettes traveled to Van Vleck Friday afternoon and broke out the big bats beating the Van Vleck Lady Leopards 17 to 6.

Three records fall in Brahma relays

Three records were set at the Brahma Relays Thursday.The Brahmas set a meet record and school record in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.77 breaking the old standard of 42.44 set by Bellville in 2014. Members of the team are Mycole Pegoda, Caden Willis, Colt Edmonds and Shane Migura.
