Brahmas 10th after first day

AUSTIN – Brahma golf was in 10th place after the first round of the UIL State Golf Tournament held at Jimmy Clay Golf Course Monday.The Brahmas shot a team total of 334.Defending state champion Wall carded a 304, Gunter was second (307) and Cameron Yoe third (311).

Brahma golf qualifies for state

VICTORIA – The Brahma golf team is headed to state after finishing second in the Class 3A Region IV Tournament at Victoria Country Club Monday and Tuesday, April 13-14.The Brahmas shot a team total of 689 – 337 the first 18 holes and 352 in the second round.

Brahmas sew up dist. title

Hallettsville won its second District 25-3A championship in three years with a 5-3 victory over Vanderbilt Industrial here Friday night.Hudson Chenard pitched a complete game and had to throw 114 pitches to do so. Chenard struck our five and walked three.

Brahmas walk it off in victory over Cardinals

In a pitcher’s dual, the Brahmas took a huge 2-1 District 25-AAA victory over Columbus here Tuesday on a night veterans and first responders were honored.Hudson Chenard scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning for the margin of victory.

Brahmas second in district golf

The Brahma golf team finished second in the District 25-AAA Golf Tournament held at Victoria’s Riverside Park Golf Course Monday, March 30.The scores were as close as close could be.Hallettsville shot a team total of 337, one stroke behind Columbus. Vanderbilt Industrial was third with a 338.

Brahmas get bounce back win

The Hallettsville Brahmas had a bounce-back win with a 4-1 victory over Columbus in a District 25- AAA game Thursday night at Columbus’ Cardinal Field.Hudson Chenard held the Cardinals to an unearned run, ceded three hits, walked four and struck out nine. Chenard also went 3-for-5 at the plate.

Chenard’s no hitter paces Brahmas past Tigers 6-0

Hudson Chenard threw a no-hitter and struck out 13 in leading the Brahmas to a 6-0 District 25-AAA victory over Tidehaven Saturday afternoon.Chenard allowed three base on balls.Hallettsville (19-4, 6-1) scored two runs in the top of the first inning.

Brahmas eke out victory over Edna, run rule Rice

The Brahmas eked out a victory over Edna and run-ruled Altair Rice Consolidated here Friday afternoon, 11-0, in six innings.In the Rice game, Hudson Chenard gave up a lead off single to Glen Davis in the top of the first inning and that was it.
