Marvin and Cathy Boedeker of Boedeker Plastics were recognized at Monday’s Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting. The Boedekers donated to the School Safety Project, which was mandated, but not funded by the Texas State Legislature. The donation goes toward purchasing required safety equipment for all the schools in Lavaca County. County EMS Captain John Schultz was recognized and presented an accommodation for assisting the Fayette County EMS with an incident last week. At the Monday, March 23 Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting, the court approved a proclamation designating Sunday, April 12 as Hallettsville Methodist Church Day.
