Moulton Police Department gives new building update

The Moulton Police Department has been making some strides on the construction of their new building.At a special called City Council meeting mid-June, the council awarded a bid to Robert Supak out of Supak Construction in La Grange.

Moulton Council OKs Investment Policy, Swears In Members

The Moulton City Council approved the financial policy at a recent city council meeting.“This has to do with investing the city's money, and there’s a certain policy that has to be approved to do that,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said.

Moulton Parks Get Major Upgrades

The Moulton City Council is continuing to improve the parks in Moulton.These parks include the Moulton City Park as well as the new and improved downtown park. “We had a fellow come out and do some work on the pond at the Moulton City Park,” Council member Adam Nieto said.

Moulton Council Explores High-Water Alert System, Cancels May Election

The Moulton City Council held a brief discussion about the possibility of a high-water alert device for the City of Moulton at the March 10 meeting.“The council has been interested in that ever since last summer with the disaster in Kerrville,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said.

Council amends Manufactured Homes Ordinance, approves street repair projects

The Moulton City Council amended the city’s manufactured homes ordinance at the Feb. 10 meeting.“This is so that any manufactured homes coming in have to be ten years or less of age,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said. “It cannot be more than ten years old. If it’s past 2016, it is ineligible.

City of Moulton continues various parks improvements

The City of Moulton has been making some strides in improving both of its parks.There are two parks in Moulton, one of them being the original City Park and a new park downtown. The new park downtown has a new name.

Council amends Utility Tap Fee Schedule

The Moulton City Council approved an amendment to the City of Moulton Utility Tap Fee Schedule at the Jan. 13 meeting.The new fees for the water tap will be $2,500, while the new sewer fees will be $4,000. “This was a decision made by the council,” City Administrator LuAnn Rogers said.
