Moulton softball: Kittens get 10-1 win over Pettus in playoffs

Madison Rothbauer went 2-for-3 with a triple, RBI, run and stole two bases in the Kittens’ 10-1 win over Pettus Thursday in the regional quarterfinals in Ganado.The Kittens took a 2-0 lead in the third inning before adding three runs in the fourth and outscoring Pettus 2-1 in the fifth.

Moulton girls track: Abygail Tinajero runs the 400 at state Saturday evening

Abygail Tinajero will attempt to win a medal in the 400-meter dash on Saturday at the UIL state track and field meet at the University of Texas’s Mike A. Meyers Stadium. She is scheduled to  run  around 6:45 p.m.

Moulton softball: Kittens run rule D’Hanis in bi-district round

The Moulton softball team pulled away from D’Hanis in the bi-district round Thursday at Marion with a nine-run fourth inning for a 14-3 win.

One-Act Play Makes History

This weekend the inaugural 1939 Stage Company concluded their One-Act Play season as one of the top 12 in the state. Ten students took a chance on a UIL event that they knew nothing about because Moulton High School hadn't competed in OAP since 1994.

Moulton track and field: Abygail Tinajero advances to state

The Moulton track and field teams closed out the season at the Region IV-1A meet Friday and Saturday in Seguin.Abygail Tinajero will run in the 400-meter dash at state after placing second in the preliminaries with a time of 1 minute, 2.27 seconds and winning the finals with a time of 1:01.4.

Moulton softball: Kittens pick up non-district win against Marion junior varsity

Karsyn Blahuta went 3-for-4, scored three runs and had an RBI to lead  the Moulton softball team to a 20-1 win against the Marion junior varsity April 15 in Marion.

Moulton baseball: Katz hardballers fall to Ganado in recent action

In recent games, the Moulton baseball team fell to Bloomington 20-13 (March 26) and Ganado 18-1 on April 2.The Katz were scheduled to host the Shiner JV this past Monday and will host Bloomington on April 22.
