The Shiner Junior High volleyball teams took on Weimar ,Ganado and Schulenburg, and played in the Schulenburg Tournament.

7th grade Shiner hosted their season opener against Weimar on Aug 25. The 7th grade B team split sets with Weimar: 15-25 and 25-23. Leading serving was Tatum Carson.

The Shiner cross country teams competed at Schulenburg last Thursday.
St. Paul had varsity boys, junior varsity girls and junior high teams at Schulenburg while varsity girls and boys competed at the San Antonio FEAST meet on Saturday.

St. Paul Football: Cards rally for first win of season.

Zane Barta rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns to lead St. Paul to a comeback 38-35 win at San Antonio TMI on Friday.
TMI was ahead 35-14 at halftime, St Paul outscored TMI 16-0 in the third and then scored early in the fourth quarter for the win.

Shiner Football: Shiner shuts down Industrial in rebounding from season-opening loss

After a surprising loss in their opener last week, Shiner needed to get back on track and rebound quickly.
The Comanches got back on the right path and quickly as they downed the Industrial Cobras 47-0 Friday evening in their first home game at Comanche Stadium.

The Lady Cardinals did not play relaxed at the start of their district opener against Cedar Park Summit Christian Academy Thursday at home.
St. Paul did not stay that way the whole match and got the victory over CPCSA 3-0 (25-13, 25-6, 25-1).

Volleyball: Lady Comanches serve up sweep over St. Paul

The Lady Comanches serving was on point.
Shiner beat cross-town opponent St. Paul in three games, 25-12, 25-15, 25-25-16 on Aug. 30.
The Lady Comanches had 22 aces in the match.
“We had been working on serve-receive and we served very aggressively,” Lady Comanches head coach Desiree Nitsch said.
