Sweet Home ISD issues first bond for the school

Sweet Home ISD (SHISD) will be issuing a bond to be on the May ballot. Voters will be able to decide if this bond passes on election day on May 4. Early voting begins April 22.This bond stemmed from a facilities assessment meeting which happened in July last year.

Rural school districts won’t need November elections

Lavaca County’s three smallest school districts won’t need to have any school board member positions on the upcoming Nov. 8 general election ballots.

Sweet Home ISD donates to Sweety Home firemen

The Sweet Home School surprised local firefighters with a $2,000 donation to the Sweet Home Volunteer Fire Department. Students raised the funds by participating in a penny war fundraiser back in the fall.
