Ground crews still investigating yesterday’s plane crash near Yoakum

One day after a single prop plane from out of state crashed into a field not far from the Yoakum Regional Airport, their intended destination, officials have released additional information about the Jan. 17 crash.

Plane crash between Hallettsville and Yoakum kills four, injures one

Four of the five people aboard a single propeller aircraft that had radioed in it was about to land on a scheduled flight to the Yoakum Regional Airport were confirmed dead after the plane went down just a few miles northeast of its intended destination Tuesday morning, officials said.

Sophomore volleyball member Jayana Phillips received Class 3A Honorable Mention on the Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association  All-State Volleyball Team that was recently released. Phillips helped guide the Lady Bulldogs to a historic season with an appearance in the regional championship match.

Yoakum girls soccer: Lady Bulldogs finish seventh in home tournament, beat Hallettsville

  The Lady Bulldogs soccer team opened the regular season with their inaugural home tournament last week, getting one win, two draws and two losses, finishing in seventh place. Yoakum 3, Hallettsville 0 The Lady ‘Dogs played Hallettsville in pool play and bracket play.
