The South Texas Cattlemen’s Roundup
The South Texas Cattlemen’s Roundup kicked off the 2023 season at the Hallettsville Livestock Commission on Tuesday, June 13. Local 4-H clubs provided the goodies and the event staff. Many wonderful pies, ranch items, and plants were auctioned to benefit Driscoll Children’s Hospital. The Roundups have been part of South Texas for more than 35 years, and they are an opportunity to see local youth at their best. It is heartwarming knowing that Kids are helping Kids! The proceeds from the auction will benefit the build-out of the Pavilion at Driscoll in Corpus Christi. This building will provide critical care for the moments of greatest need, as it will house the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and the expanded Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). When a child in South Texas needs specialized medical care, Driscoll is there to help.
Thanks to this generous community, the 4-H families and staff, the Hallettsville Livestock Commission and everyone who supported this effort. We are Healing Together. 4-H members participating in the event in include Tanner Pustka, Lanie Haas, Ashlyn Pustka, Macey Pustka, Levi Haas, Clayton Haas, Jase Wimberly, Nathan Henke, Callie Chrismon, Ryan Janak, Brady Haas, Macie Haa, Kodie Bible, Amanda Janak, Sawyer Wimberly, Landry Henke, Jarrod Henke, Tucker Johnston and Macyn Wimberly.
