Victoria County Master Gardener Associate Spring Plant Sale April 2

Take a stroll to Victoria Educational Gardens. in.Victoria. Saturday,. April. 2, and enjoy a day with family and friends at the 2022 Victoria County Master Gardener Association Spring Plant Sale.

The event, which is open the public, will be held at VEG and the VCMGA Pavilion, 283 Bachelor Dr., across from the Victoria Regional Airport control tower Activities will begin at 8 a.m.

VCMGA will provide maps of VEG to aid the public in locating the activity sites.

Most of all, the event is for homeowners and gardeners. Hundreds of plants will be offered at reasonable prices. Daylilies, evergreen shrubs, the newly popular Fire Esperanza, along with color bowls of begonias, coleus, red pentas, blue mist salvia and gold lantana will brighten VEG pathways.

Master gardeners will be on hand to help browsers make selections, and to answer gardening questions.

There will be a country store featuring garden art, pots, homemade goodies, the VCMGA bookbook, home d cor, costume jewelry and gently used garden tools.

Children will be able to create their own fairy gardens to take home beginning a 10:30 a.m. Participation in the workshop will cost $10 per garden. Each participant will select a bag with materials needed to build the garden with small figurines, plants and rocks Supplies are limited so the kits are available on a first come, first served basis.

Also, there will be face painting and a unique Easter egg game. Eggs will be scattered throughout one area of the garden. A limited amount of eggs will contain a slip of paper with a number which may be turned in for a prize. Each winner will be limited to one prize.
