Berkovsky graduates from U.S. Navy recruit training

Emily Berkovsky of Shiner, graduated from the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, Illinois on Friday, June 18.
Seaman Berkovsky is currently in Great Lakes, IL where she will be attending “A” school to become a Gunner’s Mate. Upon completion of “A” school, she will be assigned to her duty station yet to be determined.
Emily is a 2024 graduate of Shiner High School. She is the daughter of Chad and Angela Berkovsky of Shiner. She is the granddaughter of Evelyn Berkovsky of Shiner and the late Laddie Berkovsky, the late Dean Lewis Sr. and Donna Lewis of Inez and step-granddaughter of Frances Lewis of Hallettsville.
