Blood drives heat up after summer floods
For the 43 counties served by South Texas Blood and Tissue, the demand remains high, especially as potential donors in the areas recently devastated by the flooding in the Texas Hill Country have other daily challenges facing them right now.
So, it falls top the rest of us to step up and fill those everpresent needs that exist for blood and blood products, both here in Texas and across our natiion.
In response to those needs, St. Peter Lutheran Church iwill sponsor a blood drive on Sunday, Aug. 3, in the bloodmobile which should bee located in front of the church that day at 100 N. Promenade.
The hours will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and donors may register by going online at “www.southtexasblood. org”, or by calling (210) 713-5590.
Of course, drop-in donors are also always welcomed, so please consider “Giving the Gift of Life” so that others can get back to the lives just that much quicker
Because remember, if not you, then who will help ensure fellow Texans get the gifts of life that so many rely upon each and every day here in our region?
