Catholic Schools Week January 28-February 2
Shiner Catholic School, along with other schools across the nation, will celebrate Catholic Schools Week starting Sunday, January 28.
Catholic Schools Week kicks off with Mass on Sunday. Donuts will be available for families and friends in attendance.
Monday, January 29 is Student Appreciation Day. Students will receive a special treat!
On Tuesday, January 30 at 11 a.m. the Annual Day of Giving will begin. This is a chance for those who love Catholic education to support the school.
Money donated will go directly to faculty and staff in the form of a bonus to thank them for all they do for the school. The goal is $25,000.
Wednesday, January 31 is Teacher Appreciation Day. Pancake breakfast will be held from 7 to 8 a.m. in the dining hall. Plates are $7 for 5th grade through adult, and $5 for grades PreK through 4th.
A teacher appreciation luncheon will be held at the SPH lounge.
On Thursday, the annual talent show and chicken noodle soup meal will be held from 4-6 p.m. Noodle soup and chicken salad sandwiches will be available at the dining hall to go or for dine in.
Soup, sandwich, dessert and drink cost $10; soup OR sandwich and a drink is $5; quart of soup OR sandwich TO GO is $5; gallon of soup TO GO is $20.
Talent show will be held at the gym at 6 p.m. Grades PreK-3 through 12th will perform.
Friday will be a school holiday! A candlelight Mass will be held at 6 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
