Court holds regular meeting

The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court held a regular meeting Monday morning, but due to the deadline of the paper at noon, a detailed report of the meeting will appear in next week’s paper.
The court addressed an agenda that included:
• Telecommunications update.
• Contract between AT&T and the county for purpose of a secured fiber connection.
• Advertise for bids to purchase road materials.
• Acknowledge the completion of canvassing votes for the Nov. 5 election.
• Certificates of exemption from subdivision requirements.
• Texas settlement subdivision participation and release form pursuant to the Kroger Texas settlement agreement.
• Add a stop sign on CR 392, behind the Yoakum Community Hospital.
• Contract for secure short-term detention of juvenile offenders between Lavaca County Juvenile Probation department and San Patricio County Juvenile Justice Center.
• Authorize a resolution for contractual and financial documents related to the Hazard Mitigation plan.
• Executive session.
