DeWitt Commissioners approve software agreements
The DeWitt County Commissioner’s Court approved several contracts for the county’s property tax and district clerk’s offices at last Monday’s meeting.
In the absence of Precinct One Commissioner Curtis Afflerbach, the court voted in favor of Precinct Four Commissioner Richar Randle’s motion to approve a license and services agreement with Tyler Technologies, Inc.
About $105 thousand was approved for using the software in the district clerk’s office, $40 thousand from this year’s budget and the remaining amount from next year’s.
“It might take two to three months or two to three weeks, depending on the job. Then, that’s when they’ll be sending an invoice to us for payment,” said DeWitt County District Clerk Esther Ruiz of the project.
Additionally, the court went into recess with the intent of returning Tuesday morning for action on an agreement with Edoc Technologies for $950 monthly until the Tyler Technologies, Inc. software is prepared.
The commissioners also approved a $27,500 agreement with Spindlemedia for tax office software and $37,000 for data extraction and dissemination with Net Data.
