DeWitt County Sheriff’s Report, June 17 - 23

DeWitt County law enforcement officers made 15 arrests between June 17 and June 23.

Those arrests contributed to an average daily prisoner population of 98 inmates at the DeWitt County Jail, 15 of whom included prisoners housed for other agencies.

Friday, June 17

  • George Valentinelee Urrutia Jr., 20, of Nordheim, was arrested for burglary of a habitation. Bond was set at $40,000. (DCSO)
  • Jeremiah Anthony Gonzales, 23, of Cuero, was arrested for burglary of a habitation with the intent of sexual assault, sexual assault, family violence, criminal mischief, interference with an emergency request for assistance and driving with an invalid license. Bond was set at $158,000. They were fined $547.30. (DCSO)
  • Michael Kevin Thomas, 55, of Westhoff, was arrested for family violence (released by Court Order) and public intoxication. They were fined $386. (DCSO)
  • Patrick Keith Thomas, 50, of Westhoff, was arrested for family violence (released by Court Order) and public intoxication. (DCSO)
  • Steve Robert Maldonado, 30, of Cuero, was arrested for lacking a motorcycle license, not wearing a seatbelt and having an expired operator license. Bond was set at $1,800. (CPD)
  • Gordon Dwayne Kelley, 58, of Yoakum, was arrested with bond revocation for intoxicated driving (repeated offender). Bond was set at $10,000. (DCSO)
  • Ralph Rodriguez Jr., 62, of Cuero, was arrested for property theft with previous convictions and violating open container laws. Bond was set at $20,600. (DCSO)

Saturday, June 18

  • Gary Corbet Self Jr., 36, of Nordheim, was arrested for intoxicated driving. Bond was set at $2,000. (CPD)
  • Jorge Luis Gomez, 35, of Austin, was arrested on a Travis County Warrant for property theft, and for failure to properly identify. No bond was awarded for the first charge, bond was set at $2,000 for the second. (DCSO)

Sunday, June 19

  • Steve Robert Maldonado, 30, of Cuero, was arrested for evading arrest or detention. Bond was set at $10,000. (CPD)
  • Timothy Samuel Gonzales, 17, of Cuero, was arrested for evading arrest or detention. Bond was set at $10,00. (CPD)
  • Kasey Wayne Morris, 41, of Cuero, was arrested for intoxicated driving (repeat offender). Bond was set at $10,000. (CPD)
  • Aaliyah Ball, 20, of Cuero, was arrested for bail jumping or failure to appear. Bond was set at $1,000. (DCSO)

Wednesday, June 22

  • Juan Angel Alejo-Rios, 19, of Niederwald, was arrested for criminal trespassing. Bond was set at $4,000. (DCSO)
  • Cassie Lynn Mraz, 21, of Hallettsville, was arrested on Brazoria County warrants for two counts of assault. Bond was set at $10,000. (DCSO)
