Great State Republicans to host candidate forum Jan. 29 in Hallettsville

Great State Republicans are kicking off 2024 in a big way. Mark your calendar for Monday, January 29 and attend our Candidate Forum at the Hallettsville High School Cafeteria, 200 N. Ridge Street.
Doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. for meet and greet time with the candidates.
At 6 p.m. the candidates will take the stage to inform you about their background and what they see for the future in Texas.
It is so important that we know those who seek elected office so we make an educated decision at the ballot box. There will be time to visit with candidates individually and then hear from each of them during the forum.
This is not a debate and any questions you have should be asked during the meet and greet phase or after the forum ends.
Our club has worked very hard over the last three years. In 2022 we provided $10,000 to Republican candidates around our area.  
We have held two Candidate Trainings and Campaign School, the 2022 Candidate Forum, had numerous speakers on topics that affect our community, state and nation along with some spectacular fundraising events.  
At the National Federation of Republican Women Convention in Oklahoma City held in September 2023, the club won two awards for Campaign Activities and Campaign Hours.  
Then again at the Texas Federation of Republican Convention in Arlington in October, we won for the same categories.  
Our new leadership looks forward to continuing to provide Lavaca County and surrounding areas with voter education, opportunities to hear from experts on political and legislative topics as well as helping our Republicans get elected to office.  
Our regular meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
