Homecoming week in full swing
It’s time once again for what they call “the most spirited week” of the year at Moulton High School.
That’s right: Homecoming is upon us.
It’s the perfect time to make unforgettable memories with friends. Homecoming night will be Friday, Dec. 15. After the girl’s game, seniors and parents will be recognized and, after the boy’s game, the coronation for king and queen will be announced.
Once those are set in stone, students are invited to a dance that night at 9 p.m. at George’s Hall and Park.
Presale tickets are $5 and can be purchased from Mrs. B. The event is open to all high school students.
There will be a DJ offering music for the students to get their groove on. Food and drinks, and a photo booth will be available as well.
To celebrate the homecoming spirit, there will be many special activities leading up to Friday.
First, on Monday, Dec. 11, spirit games will commence at the old gym. On Tuesday, Dec. 12, a pep rally will be open to the public starting at 2:30 p.m.
On Wednesday morning, there will be a special senior breakfast.
The most exciting event will be Thursday, Dec. 6. Students are invited to a special bonfire at the city cemetery.
Throughout the whole week, students are asked to dress up for various themes: Monday is barbecue dads vs. soccer moms, Tuesday’s theme is “rhyme without reason,” Wednesday pits rockers against rappers, Thursday all about ’merica and Friday is black and white spirit day.
So, mark your calendars now. This will be a week students remember for years to come!
