June sees several rounds of heavy rain

Slow-moving thunderstorms visited the city and county setting the stage for flooding rainfall totaling 5.18 inches on the fifth and 2.40 inches on the 15th.

June rang up a 9.12 inch total, with rain falling on 14 days. The amount was the heaviest since 21.24 inches fell in August 2017 during Hurricane Harvey. Average rainfall for June is 5.02 inches.
